Dear Diary,
Moon Shadows
A cloudless night softly blooms
Seeping, sliding in my room
Moonlit fingers sigh and caress
Urgently gliding through my dress
Coy Shadows linger, biding their time
Softly they whisper on the fringe of my mind
Shadows play, wander and dance
Sweetly humming of romance
Jealous Moon chases Shadows away
Pulls me close, keeping Shadows at bay
Moon insists and we passionately meet.
I yield, I shudder, in the cool heat
Slowly, Moon withdraws, gently easing
Shadows flit close, touching and teasing
They cradle me as Moon slips away
Murmuring, embracing, and with them I lay.

One of the great things about connecting with authors via social media has been the poetry. There are poems everywhere. I find them on sites as well as poems sent via multiple tweets. It’s like a Digital Renaissance of Poetry.
I haven’t deliberately read poetry since college and I’m currently rediscovering what was a forgotten pleasure. I especially enjoyed this poem, your little Halloween frolic, which was a mini paranormal romance. Delightful! Thank you so much for sharing your poetry.
Thank you for your wonderful comments Carrie. I really appreciate it!
